For the Nalanda West weekend , Dr Klonk will teach on The Sun of Wisdom, Khenpo Tsültrim Gyamtso Rinpoche's commentary on The Fundamental Wisdom of the Middle Way, one of the most important works on Madhyamaka or The Middle Way, by the second century master Nagarjuna.

Course description

The Buddhist teachings tell us we all have innate intelligence and that it is important for us to examine all statements about reality and not take them on the basis of faith or authority. Examination in this way opens the door to profound certainty of the fundamental truths.

The teachings of the Indian Master Nagarjuna are a prime example of how this certainty can be developed through reasoning and logical analysis. During this weekend program, we will use the text "The Sun of Wisdom" by the Venerable. Khenpo Tsültrim Gyamtso Rinpoche to introduce Nagarjuna's process of examination - incorporating talks, group discussion, and meditation sessions on wisdom and compassion. No prerequisites are required, however the texts "The Sun of Wisdom" and "The 37 Practices of the Bodhisattva" will be referenced and are recommended.
