Nitartha Institute

Nitartha Institute's logoNitartha Institute’s purpose is to bring the complete, undiluted study tradition of the Kagyu and Nyingma Tibetan Buddhist lineages to the West. To this end, the Institute’s focus is two-fold: to translate and publish the lineages’ great works, and to train western students in the depth of the tradition, leaving nothing behind. The Summer Residential Study Program has been the backbone of Nitartha since 1996. It offers western students a unique opportunity to engage the teachings of the dharma with a rare thoroughness and depth. Combining a systematic course of study with training in meditation and analysis, the Summer Program introduces students to the complete Tibetan Buddhist science of mind. For a condensed weekend experience, Regional Weekend Programs are periodically offered throughout North America.
